UIS names Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation among its committed funders — the only source here that publishes both its accounts and its funders by name.
Governance: An autonomous institute within UNESCO, governed by a twelve-member board — six elected by the General Conference, six named by the Director-General — which approves its programme and budget.
