Funding: A global research project of Future Earth and a research partner of the World Climate Research Programme. Its two international project offices are hosted in kind by CSIRO in Canberra and the National Institute for Environmental Studies in Tsukuba. The annual budget is produced by more than 100 contributors from about 70 organizations in 18 countries, each funded by their own national agencies; no consolidated funder list is published.
Governance: Coordinated within the Future Earth framework; the annual budget is led by Pierre Friedlingstein at the University of Exeter and peer-reviewed in Earth System Science Data.
